墨生的城市─《走漾》黃麗珍攝影展

因為喜歡攝影，我從事的工作都與攝影相關，經歷人像攝影、攝影雜誌的特約記者、藝廊的秘書以及現在的自由攝影。一路走來，想藉由創作，對攝影的所見所聞，提出一些反思。而何謂攝影？對我而言，它是住在心裡的一個家。

這些年我迷上了水墨，試圖將水墨的概念與攝影合而為一，其中水墨有所謂的拓墨、破墨、潑墨等技法，於是把前項元素放進攝影之中。而黑白攝影與墨有一相通的特性，即是灰、黑、白的層次堆疊，層層沉澱，兩者又與水有密不可分的關係;而墨是一種會流動的氣體，它的運行會在散開之後再巧妙地遇合。因此，我用黑白底片，以直接攝影的方式來轉化這種有趣的意象。

《墨生的城市》是在2006年12月完成的，其實它是一個城市的反射，我以相機勾勒一個扭曲的、抽象的城市，裡面有許多意像，有的看起來像黑羽毛、像瀑布、像海岸等。

1982~95 進入婚紗業，經歷「龍」攝影、「全視」攝影、「台北攝影家」等 攝影公司。
1995 馬來西亞《攝影人》雜誌駐台特約記者，馬來西亞檳城「樂聲」 婚紗攝影顧問。

Imaginative Cityscape 

Inspirations for My Creative Works

    Because of my love for this art form, every job I have ever taken has been related to photography in one form or other.  I’ve taken wedding portraits, worked as a stringer for a photography magazine, been employed as a secretary in an art gallery, and today I’m a freelancer photographer.  I’d like to share some of my thoughts on creativity and the various things I’ve picked up over the course of my career.  For instance, what is photography?  Well, for me, it happens to be a home within my heart.

    In recent years, I have become infatuated with Chinese ink-wash paintings and I try to employ this concept in my photography.  My work incorporates techniques such as ink-rubbing, “po-mo” (layered contrast of black, gray and white), and ink-splashing, all of which are found in ink-wash paintings.  Black-and-white photography and ink share a common trait: the layers of gray, black, and white colors are stacked up and then allowed to precipitate. The two of them are also closely related to water.  Ink is similar to circulating air.  It spreads out in all directions and then comes together again in a remarkable way.  Therefore I use traditional black-and-white negatives to photograph and transform fascinating ink-wash images.            

    I finished the “Imaginative Cityscape” Series in December, 2006.  Actually, these are mirror images of a city.  I used my camera to capture the convoluted twistings of an abstract city.  Many images such as black feathers, waterfalls, or coastlines are found in my works.
