Ãö©ó¤°»ò¬O¬ü¡A±d¼w¦bThe Critique of Judgement¡m§PÂ_¤O§å§P¡n²Ä¤C½g´£¨ì¡G

That which is purely subjective in the representation of an object, i.e., what constitutes its reference to the subject, not to the object, is its aesthetic quality.

§ÚÌ¹ï«ÈÅ骺¡u¦A²{¡v©Ò²£¥Íªº¯Â¥DÆ[·NÃÑ¡A¤]´N¬O¨º¨Ç¯A¤Î¥DÅ骺 ³¡¤À¡]¦Ó«D¯A¤Î«ÈÅé¡^¡A§Y¬O¬üªº¯S½è¡C

On the other hand, that which in such a representation serves, or is available, for the determination of the object (for or purpose of knowledge), is its logical validity.

¥t¤@¤è±¡A¦b³o¼Ëªº¡u¦A²{¡v¤¤¡A¥i³Q§ÚÌ®³¨Ó§P©w«ÈÅ骺¡]¬°¤FÀò ¨úª¾ÃÑ¡^¡A«h¬O¨äÅ޿観®Ä©Ê¡C

In the cognition of an object of sense, both sides are presented conjointly.

¤Wz¤T¥y¸Ü¨ì©³¬O¤°»ò·N«ä©O¡H±d¼w¦p¤U»¡¡G
In the sense-representation of external things, the quality of space in which we intuite them is the merely subjective side of my representation of them (by which what the things are in themselves as objects is left quite open), and it is on account of that reference that the object in being intuited in space is also thought merely as phenomenon.

¦b§ÚÌ·Pª¾¥~ª«ªºªí¶H®É¡A§ÚÌ¦b³oÓªÅ¶¡¤¤¡]¤]´N¬O§ÚÌ±o¥Hª½Æ[ ¥~ª«ªºªÅ¶¡¡^©ÒÀò±oªº·P¨ü¬O¥þµM¥DÆ[ªº¡]¦Óª«Å骺¯u¬Û¦b¦¹«hºû«ù ¤@Ó«D±`¶}©ñªºª¬ºA¡^¡A¤]´N¬O¦]¬°³o¼Ë¥DÆ[ªº«ü¯A¡A³Q§ÚÌ¦bªÅ¶¡ ¤¤©Òª½Æ[ªº«ÈÅé¤~·|³Q»{¬°¥u¤£¹L¬O¤@ºØ¡u²{¶H¡v¡C

But despite its purely subjective quality, space is still a constituent of the knowledge of things as phenomena. Sensation (here external) also agrees in expressing a merely subjective side of our representations of external things, but one which is properly their matter (through which we are given something with real existence), just as space is the mere a priori form of the possibility of their intuition; and so sensation is, none the less, also employed in the cognition of external objects.

Beauty is no quality in things themselves: It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them; and each mind perceives a different beauty. One person may even perceive deformity, where another is sensible of beauty.

If, in the sound state of theorgan, there be an entire or considerable uniformity of sentiment among men, we may thence derive an idea of the perfect beauty; in like manner as the appearance of objects in daylight, to the eye of a man in health, is denominated their true and real colour, even while colour is allowed to be merely a phantasm of the senses.

One obvious cause, why many feel not the proper sentiment of beauty, is the want of that delicacy of imagination, which is requisite to convey a sensibility of those finer emotions.
